Family Lunch Program
When a child is in the hospital, the to-do list doesn't stop. Our Family Lunch Program makes sure having a nutritious meal isn't on it.
A Meal Delivered with Care
Every Monday through Friday, our volunteers prepare and pack lunches for families with children receiving medical care at locations around Siouxland. Each meal arrives in a hand-decorated paper bag — sharing messages of hope, encouragement, and a little reminder that someone in this community sees you.
Every lunch includes an entrée, side, fruit, vegetable, snack, and dessert — a complete, nourishing meal prepared and delivered with care.
Who We Serve
The Family Lunch Program serves families of pediatric patients at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's, UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Child Advocacy Center, and Child Health Specialty Clinics.
Get Involved
The Family Lunch Program runs on the generosity of volunteers and donors. There are several meaningful ways to help:
- Volunteer to help prepare and pack lunches — sign up here.
- Decorate lunch sacks — grab some markers and brown paper bags and brighten a family's day. See our sack decorating guidelines.
- Sponsor a meal — contact us at (712) 255-4084 to learn how your group or business can sponsor a day of lunches.
