Christy

Christy Batien Executive Director

Christy joined RMHC of Siouxland as Executive Director in October 2015. During her career at the House, she has led the addition of the Ronald McDonald Kitchen and Lunch Programs as well as the expansion of the Ronald McDonald House from 6 bedrooms to 7.

Christy was drawn to RMHC because of a love for families and helping in times of need. In her free time, Christy stays busy keeping up with her two daughters and husband, Kevin, and enjoys walks with her yorkie, Daisy.

Sydney - Fundraising and Events Coordinator

Sydney Palmer - Programs Manager

Sydney joined the RMHC of Siouxland staff in 2020 as an intern for the RMHC Family Lunch Program through the Tyson Summer Internship program. From there, she has climbed the ladder of success, working full-time since 2022 in different roles. She is now the Fundraising and Events Coordinator. Sydney is most excited about servicing and bringing awareness to RMHC by providing the comforts of home for families through all the events RMHC of Siouxland has to offer.

Sydney is a Morningside University graduate in Nonprofit Management. She is now working on her Master of Science in Administration, specializing in Organizational Leadership and Nonprofit Management at the University of South Dakota. If she isn't studying at a local coffee shop, she is at the dog park with her dog, Anna!
