Pop Tab Program

Pop Tab Program

Pop Tab Mania!

Goin' green- that's the buzz in many communities. Siouxland is no different and one of our marketing/fundraising efforts contributes to this concept- saving and recycling of Pop Tabs!! Many Siouxland schools, groups and individuals collect tabs each day and drop them off at the Ronald McDonald House for recycling.

During the 2011-2012 school year, 56 schools participated in our pop tab collection contest. The students saved the tabs, boxed them up and had them picked up or delivered to the Ronald McDonald House, resulting in over 6 million tabs being collected!!! These tabs are recycled and the schools' efforts provided over $5000 that will directly support the guest families at the Ronald McDonald House.

We appreciate the many volunteers that coordinate the School participation efforts, headed by Carole Perrin. Thanks, too, to all of you who help the environment and help the families at the Ronald McDonald House with your collection efforts!!

We started a "MILLIONAIRES CLUB" in 1998 for schools who have collected over 1 million tabs and currently have 28 members! Each of the following schools name is recognized on a plaque at the RM House for their great efforts in collecting tabs:
